IBSS awarded NOAA task to provide ocean acidification research to northwest fisheries science center

Silver Spring, MD January 2021:

IBSS was awarded a Task Order with NOAA’s Northwest Fisheries Science Center (NWFSC) to provide ocean acidification research support.

NWFSC is part of NOAA Fisheries and is responsible for providing science in support of sustainable fisheries and seafood safety, maintaining healthy ecosystems, and conservation of habitats and protected species.

IBSS will deliver services that include:

  • Conducting and analyzing ocean acidification experiments
  • Conducting seawater chemistry analysis
  • Constructing experimental aquaculture systems
  • Analyzing ecosystem research models
