Position: Research Assistant, Ocean Acidification Community of Practice Coordinator (full-time fixed term position for approximately 1 year, based on length of grant funding, with the possibility of extension)

The Research Assistant will support the activities of the Canadian Ocean Acidification Community of Practice, a MEOPAR initiative led by Dr. Brent Else (Department of Geography) and Dr. Helen Gurney-Smith (Fisheries and Oceans Canada, St. Andrews Biological Station in New Brunswick). The Research Assistant could be located in Calgary or St. Andrews.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- An undergraduate or graduate degree in marine science, including social science
Have research experience in a field related to ocean acidification, and already have some connections to the Canadian ocean acidification research community - Require strong organizational and communication skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently
- Experience with data management, research outreach, and/or website development would be an asset
