OA-ICC December calendar: 3/12- “Observe this!”

Count down the days until 2015 together with the OA-ICC! Each day of December you will find a short story on the OA-ICC news stream highlighting an ocean acidification project, effort, or resource.

Discover today’s story below: “Observe this!”

GOA-ON

To be able to understand ocean acidification we must first observe it! That’s where the Global Ocean Acidification Observing Network (GOA-ON) comes in.

The network is made up of scientists from 30 different countries all contributing to create a comprehensive observatory network that keeps track of ocean acidification and its impacts. The goal of GOA-ON is to provide an ongoing time series as well as biological monitoring and biogeochemical data for model use. It brings together data and people to create an extremely useful observation platform.

Check out their website for a neat interactive map of the network and loads more information.
