Synopsis:

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for services in which the government intends to award an order in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Alaska Fisheries Science Center, Auke Bay Laboratories has a requirement for services to Provide labor to assist in the performance of OA research studies, including experimental support and sample collection and analysis on a variety of sample types. See attached statement of work for complete description of services. All interested concerns must submit a quotation and documentation demonstrating the qualifications to provide services as described above within fifteen (15) days of the publication date of this notice.

This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will is attached. A firm-fixed order will be issued with period of performance of delivery approximately 6 months with three options to extend. All responses must be in writing and delivery to fax number (907)789-6094 attention to Suzanne Johnston or by email at suzanne.johnston@noaa.gov on indicated response date in the RFQ.

This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000.00.

52.217-8 Option to Extend Services.

OPTION TO EXTEND SERVICES (NOV 1999)

The Government may require continued performance of any services within the limits and at the rates specified in the contract. These rates may be adjusted only as a result of revisions to prevailing labor rates provided by the Secretary of Labor. The option provision may be exercised more than once, but the total extension of performance hereunder shall not exceed 18 months. The Contracting Officer may exercise the option by written notice to the Contractor within 30 days.

***The Western Regional Acquisition Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) as of October 1, 2003. After this date, NO award can be made unless the vender is registered in CCR. For additional information and to register in CCR please access the following web site: http://www.ccr.gov.
