[vodpod id=Video.5033450&w=425&h=350&fv=]
Dr. Ann Russell, Associate Research Scientist at the Dept of Geology, UC Davis, talks about the acidification of our Bay and all oceans. Locally we see a lowering pH level that is unprecedented in History. Samples going back 800,000 years do not come near to the levels we see now. She describes native Olympia oyster experiments which demonstrate their inability to grow under increased CO2 levels.
